Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob Vice Chancellor visited University of Karachi and discussed with Prof. Dr. Khalid Iraqi, Vice Chancellor, possible avenues of mutual collaboration between the two universities.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has launched a training program for working journalists of Bahawalpur. During this training program having three day sessions in each week , as many as 150 journalists will be given hands on technical training as well as awareness on media ethics.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
